Discoveries will consider short articles (up to 3,000 words), notes, and reviews in all early modern disciplines. Articles, notes, announcements, book reviews, and books for review should be submitted to the editor, James Conlan. All submissions should be in Microsoft Word (.doc / .docx) or Rich Text Format (.rtf).
Discoveries will also consider news and announcements of interest to SCRC members. Submissions of events, activities, calls, etc., should be submitted to the editor.
Longer essays may be submitted to our sister publication, Explorations in Renaissance Culture.
Manuscripts for articles and notes should be in Microsoft Word (*.doc, *.docx) or Rich Text Format (*.rtf). Identifying information should be removed from the manuscript. Notes should be kept to a minimum; references should be parenthetical where possible. Email submissions and inquiries to the editor.
Graphics should be submitted as separate files, in GIF or JPEG format. Filenames should end with a serial numerical designation (i.e., 01, 02, and so on) that correspond to the order in which they appear in the manuscript. The manuscript should clearly indicate where graphics are to be placed.

Specific guidelines for video, sound, and other multimedia files have not been determined, If your manuscript includes multimedia files, please contact the editor before submitting the manuscript.
